The villagers of Happisburgh – probably the fastest-disappearing village in England – have clubbed together to buy some sea defences.

Flood risks increase

February 19, 2007

It’s all about flooding

February 19, 2007

Pretty much everyone has noticed the weather is on the blink now.

My home is in Norfolk, the wide, flat rump of England which sticks out into the North Sea.

Last year, it kept getting flooded. Every month a different area got hit: Great Yarmouth, Loddon, the North Coast.

I just thought it might be good to keep a record of these things.

And if there’s no flooding, there’ll be no entries on this blog.
